Open Space and Recreation
Open space is a critical resource for Providence residents and visitors. As part of the City's comprehensive plan update, ProvPlan refined its existing open space inventory to produce the following map. It includes all parks and recreation facilities maintained by the City as well as golf courses, cemeteries, and community gardens. All public and private sports facilities are also included.
Quasi-public areas such as institutional grounds (Brown U Quad, State House Lawn) were not included.
