We Democratize Data
ProvPlan functions as a data intermediary - helping policymakers and residents access public information that can be used to drive community improvement.
Redistricting data is the first product available from the decennial census and contains race and ethnicity for total population and 18+ population along with housing unit count and vacancy status. Data are available at the Census Block-level allowing tabulation for almost all local geographies (neighborhood, municipality, etc).
As a first cut, ProvPlan has produced interactive graphics for Providence neighborhoods and statewide by municipality for the following data points:
Providence Neighborhood Figures:
- Change in Total Population
- Change in Non-Hispanic White Population
- Change in Hispanic or Latino
- Change in <18 Hispanic or Latino
- Change in Vacant Units
- Change in Housing Units
- Change in Non-Hispanic Asian Population
- Change in Non-Hispanic Black Population
- Change in Non-White Population
- Change in Under 18 Population
